Cafe Racer, Hooligan, Kawasaki, KZ1000, Custom, Street Fighter

The bike is a 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000A engine and frame that has been completely redone. The engine was removed and the frame de tabbed and taken down to bare metal. The frame was inspected for any stress fractures in the welds and none were found. The frame was then hand sanded, rimed and painted. The engine was right at 15,000 miles so I removed the top end and put new pistons and rings in it. I inspected the valves, ams and cam bearings. The engine was assembled and put back in the frame as new. The donor bike for the front fork assy and rear swing arm was from a 1995 Suzuki RF900R. The front end assy was mounted with new bearings and races from All Balls racing. The rear swing are mono shock was removed and new shock tabs from Z1 Enterprises were installed for the classic two shock configuration. The electrical system has a new stator and regulator rectifier combination. Also new dog ears, eadlight and taillight assy. I have also added a 6lb Ballistic lithium Ion battery. The original battery was 11 lbs. so nice weight reduction and improved cranking amp power. The rear sets are off of a 2007 GXR 1000 with new shift arrangement from Fast from the Past and shifts nice and smooth. The engine is a 1015 cc KZ1000 from 1977 rated at 95 stock hp. The carbs have been rebuilt and jetted for the new Moto GP Works exhaust and Unit pods. The Nissan front and rear brakes are bled and have incredible stopping power. The bike was built over the summer of 2014 with a total of 120 man hours and the attention to detail make this a Caf? Racer that performs in a straight line or in the twisties.
