Vintage custom Chopper 24kt Gold Turbocharged Engraved 1962 XL old school harley

NO RESERVE AUCTION!Barn Find!Fantastic museum artifact,collectable or display. 1962 XLCH 24kt GOLD PLATED and TURBOCHARGED 70s CUSTOM CHOPPER named GOLD RUSH was a numerous motorcycle show winner and COVER BIKE for the famous chopper magazine STREET CHOPPER november 1980. 5 to 7 ounces of 24kt gold was used to plate everything including cases and barrels.Rudy Pena famed hand engraver spent lots of time meticulously engraving numerous parts of bike before plating was applied. This bike is in need of a total restoration and has been in storage since 1982.The internals of motor and transmission are in boxes and need assembly to run.Theres a box of new pistons and cams.Fortunately almost every major piece to bike with exception of gas tank and magneto, hich went missing many years ago,is present.What you see in the pictures with the exception of pictures in magazine article is all thats available.A copy of magazine article is also included in sale.The HORST paint job on frame and rear fender is in excellent condition requiring only minor touching up.The crushed velvet seat has a small tear which is easily fixable.The original tires hold air but are dry rotted.This bike represents a fantastic example of the choppers built in the 70s and would be a great in a museum,display or project to restore to its glory of yesteryears.Please ask if you have questions and don't bother bidding if you don't have the funds to pay up.I sell to other countries where permitted.Shipping is responsibility of buyer and i can assist in loading or crating.This bike is being sold with bill of sale only and with no warranty or guarantee.
