Description

Choppers are cool once again!
I'm the guy that designed this bike originally, nd founded the Steed Motorcycle Company back in the day. NOW I'm the guy bringing back some of my vintage STEED machines with a bitchin' Big Wheel update!
I established Steed Musclebike Motorcycle manufacturing company in 1989, see LOGO photo in this listing for my web address)long before any other "Alternative American" Builder was on the scene. Way before Titan, ig Dog, merican Iron Horse, onfederate and any of those other guys where even considering building a complete American bike with Federal VIN's, was doing it, nd did it for nearly 17 years non-stop! With advance assistance from Avon Tire Co. I was the first builder in the world to offer a 300mm Fat Rear tire bike, nd watched as the others followed my lead. ThenI got into a really bad deal with somenefarious characters from Patriot Motorcycle Co. back in 2005, nd what you see here is an example of one of the very last TRUE Steed Musclebike "Appaloosa" motorcycles I made with my crack team of Certified Steed Builders before I got involved with the Patriot fiasco.
You will notice this machine has the identification of "1S9" at the beginning of the Federal VIN number, esignating this is a Genuine STEED MUSCLEBIKE! With this VIN, ou'll be able to get affordable full-coverage insurance from all the big carriers such as GEICO, llstate, armers ect...
After winning a Federal Lawsuit against Patriot for Fraud, reach of Contract and Trademark infringement in 2008, laid low and watched the economy tank and decided topursue a career in Commercial Photography. I have currently becomethe guy that shoots a ton of magazine features for Easyriders, oad Iron, merican Iron, aggers, ot Bike and every other national motorcycle magazine out there.Google: "Covington Shoots" to find my site.Over the last few years I've been watching the Big Wheel Bagger trend, nd have had some incredible custom big wheel bikes in my studio to shoot forthe mags built by all of today's top name builders including Trask, hope, nd Yaffe and many others. This got me to thinking about what the next Custom Trend in American motorcycles could be..... and inspired me to pump some new life into a few low mileage surviving Steed machines with a new front end and big wheels.
Call me Ol'School, ut I stillbelievethere's nothing more bad-ass than a chopper. Sadly those long front ends went out of style back in 2005 and I soon discovered there was a stash of my now "Vintage" Steed machines sitting in garages waiting to come to life again, ut this time around even cooler than before resurrected with a Big Wheel modification that I have recently engineered to retrofit my exclusive Monoglide Steed Monoglide Chassis... I've been busy this year wrangling in some low mileage OEM Genuine Steed bikes I built with my crew back in the day, nd NOW updating them with NEW front ends and you guessed it - with BIG WHEELS!
This is your opportunity to buy an OEM limited-edition Genuine Steed Musclebike with extremely low miles, hat has been serviced top to bottom, nd updated with the most bad ass 30" Chromed Billet Rimmed 80-Spoke wheel, nd brand new American Suspension front end, nd an updated Works Monoshock on the exclusive Steed Monoglide Chassis, y the very same crew that originally brought these outstanding quality machines to life.
Amazingly, he 30" wheel handles like a dream! The wheelbase is a tad shorter, nd the turning radius is improved with the taller wheel. I was proud to build bikes "BUILT TO RIDE"(tm) and CycleWorld magazine did an outstanding rider review and critique of my Steed bikes, nd you can still find it online on my site's home page by clicking the CycleWorld Photo Link Near the middle of the page. This is a non-biased rider review, y one of the the top technical industry motorcycle magazines - I never purchased any advertising from them, his rave CycleWorld rider-review back in 2004 boosted Steed bike production into the 5-million dollar range prior to theill-fatedalliance with Patriot.
If you like this bike, ut already have a chopper that you think you'd like to update, 'm also customizing other brands of Alternative American bikes at my Phoenix Arizona Shop, nd you can contact me from the Steed websiteto inquire what it would take to bring your old Chopper back to better handling and non-stop curb-appeal again.
This very machine will soon be an Easyriders Feature bike and on the newstands Fall 2016.
