Ducati Pantah / Cagiva Alazzurra Project

The original intent was to build a"Pantah" Cafe Racer but Impending Redundancy forces a change of plan. This started life as a 350 Cagiva Alazzurra. the Cagiva version of the Pantah. The frame is all but identical to a Pantah. The engines were. I believe. all built in the Ducati factory at Bologna. So far the frame loop has been shortened to accept the race seat. the frame and swing arm have been blasted and etch primed (?70). Wheels have been chemically dipped and new bearings fitted (I was going to paint the spokes black and polish the rims). Bike will come with Darmah tank and original Alazzurra tank. Also comes with 2 sets of wheels. originals and a wider set off a 650 (see below)All the electrics are there as are the front and rear calipers brake lines etc. twist grips. levers. etc. Also has brand new chain and rear sprocket ready to fit. Have also purchased a set of Paso footrests for it. If you look at Ed Milich's Ducpower website. his racing Alazzurra looks like it uses this set up. and if it was good enough for him. Major spend to date on top of buying the bike - Darmah fuel tank (?150 plus ?90 to modify/beat out the underside to fit the Pantah frame)Oscam wheels. the 350cc runs 2. 15/2. 50. the 650cc runs 2. 50/3. 00 so I bought some wider wheels (?120 plus ?40 stripping)Alloy Clip ons (?30)Seat (?50)530 chain and rear sprocket (?80)The 350 engine runs with no rattles or smoke. I fitted new belts before I ran it prior to starting the strip/build. it has done 25K miles/ 40k KMsI have ultrasonically cleaned the carbs and fitted new seals and jets.
