1998 DUCATI 600ss Supersport Desmodue

 Here is a well looked after and much loved 600ss. It has had six owners but was sold by the previous owner to a nephew then bought back again so was kept in that same family for most of its life. I had one of these new in 96 and this bike is every bit as good as that one. Its mad because I sold mine after three years running with 25000 miles on it then all these years later had this one at such a low mileage. Anyway. it's a good straight bike. I used it every day last summer for work and weekend rides. It goes faultlessly and of course handles like a dream. These bikes go so well. great two up and aren't revving their nuts off even when cruising along at well over the speed limit! It wants for nothing. good tyres and all that. I changed the brake pads front and rear. oil and filter before the winter and only ran it round the block to check the level. Its got the standard pipe. an alarm. and the carb warmer kit to stop icing in the winter but otherwise totally standard. One bad bit is the mirror on the left has a crack in the glass. Otherwise can't fault it. Starts sweet on the button. uses no oil. forks and engine have no corrosion etc etc. My brother bought a 900ss when I got my first 600 all those years ago and we still love the 600s. So much more practical. and really how fast do you need to go? These bikes have truly excellent performance and handling. All documents there including service history etc. Belts changed not many miles ago but quite a few years have passed so up to you. you might want to change them. I have looked at them and they are fine. Any inspection welcome. the bike is currently on SORN. I don't ride in the winter. but there an MOT until June. Sorry to see it go. but I have other things to fiddle about with. there is nothing wrong with this bike. Cash on collection please.
