2005 DUCATI 800 SS FF  V TWIN RED

Up for auction is my 2005 DUCATI 800 SS FF. Offered in very good condition for year. I have owned this for nearly 4 years and only ridden it in dry weather apart for a couple of times I got caught out in a light shower.

 

I bought this  because I had always wanted a Ducati and this represented a good value way to achieve it and own a stunning looking bike into the bargain.

 

Reliable and handles really well. great for the twisty "B" roads on a sunny afternoon and it has more than adequate performance. (see bottom of listing. )

 

I want to sell it as I want some thing that has a more upright riding position that I can Ride to the Isle of Man TT this year. May consider swap or part exchange depending on what is offered.

 

I have had this bike regularly serviced by Baines Racing who specialise in Ducatis and Italian bikes at The Silverstone Circuit. Last service was on 01/08/14 and included Oil & filter change. New Cambelts and Fuel and Air filters.

Tank. paintwork great. no dents one small spot off touch up paint

Seat . in very good condition no rips or tears.

Frame and body work in very good condition. no rust.

Exhaust system is original and in very good condition.

All electrics are in perfect working condition.

Chain and sprockets in good condition. ery little wear.

Tyres Rear Plenty of tread. Front 1. 6mm depth

Hand book and service history and receipts present.

 

Note. The Immobiliser over ride code not present but obtainable. It is not something I have ever needed and the Immobilisers are not known to give problems.

Note the Fairing has a small repaired crack on the lower right hand side of the fairing and some flaked paintwork surounding it. (see Photo) There are a few signs of age related issues such as a small amount of corrosion on paint on mirror stems and engine. but not easily visible as covered by the fairing.

Note If pushed hard with the engine hot. clutch may slip slightly . This can be upgraded with a stronger aftermarket clutch to remedy. This is not uncommon for Ducatis.

 

New Battery fitted 07/08/14 at 10515 miles

New oil pressure warning switch fitted 16/04/14

Rear tyre fitted at 8183 miles (less than 3000 miles covered. )

New EBC Front brake pads fitted at 23/02/13 8216 miles ((less than 3000 miles covered. )

 

All 3 keys are present including the Red Master Key.

 

All in all a great looking. fun to ride bike that offers something a bit different to your average Jap bike.
