Description

Offered for sale. my 2008 Ducati Multistrada 1100S. I truly love this bike. it pains me greatly to sell it. but extreme financial hardship forces my hand. I have clear title in hand. This is a Ducati so of course it features only the best of the best. such as OEM Brembo brakes and OEM Ohlin’s adjustable rear suspension and front forks. major upgrade parts for most bikes but standard on this one. The big option on the bike is the Termignoni stainless steel exhaust with carbon fiber cans. This is the full Termignoni exhaust kit; the stainless steel muffler. the carbon fiber exits. the recalibrated CPU. and the specific air filter and replacement air box cover. Without the full kit the bike simply would not run right. if all you did was slap the muffler on it. Without going to great lengths of research. to replace this exhaust system would probably cost in excess of $1500. and possibly closer to $2000. And OMG does it sound great!! I regularly see people roll down their windows at stoplights so they can listen to the bike as I pull away. Although the pictures of the bike don’t show all the accessories installed. they are all included and shown in the separate photos. That includes the Ducati brand (NOT AFTERMARKET) three piece hard luggage kit. two side boxes and a trunk. This I normally keep in my basement. it’s only installed for long touring rides. But the three pieces combine to give a significant cargo capacity. Also. when installed the trunk acts as a backrest for the passenger. it has a padded rest that is done in matching material to the saddle. (The picture showing the luggage installed is NOT my bike. it is a stock photo included so you can see what the luggage looks like on the bike). The passenger foot pegs. which I remove when not riding with a passenger because it just makes the bike look neater and shows off the beautiful exhaust better. It also includes the two carbon fiber exhaust covers /shields. which I also don’t normally have on the bike. Although they are real carbon fiber and look pretty cool. I think that they cover up too much of that beautiful handmade stainless steel Termignoni exhaust system. I have lots of additional photos; Ebay only has room for so many. Also. if there is anything specific that you wish to see in detail just let me know with you email address and I will send you those pictures also. A Zero Gravity smoked windscreen replaces the original. which is also included in case you want to swap it back. Not only is the installed screen smoked which improves the look quite a bit I think. but it also improves airflow for the rider. It is a good three to four inches longer than the original and provides much better airflow. This would cost over $100 to purchase online. more in a store. Matching Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires are in good shape and have plenty of life left in them. This bike has heated hand grips. what a blessing! Don’t know where her new owner will live. but here in the mountains of northern Utah those heated grips are part of what allows me to ride in some pretty cold weather. Nine (9) unique hand crafted carbon fiber parts; front fender. rear fender. rear chain guard. two engine covers. the two exhaust exits. and two exhaust heat shields (part of the Termignoni exhaust upgrade). Barkbusters Storm hand guards. which are great for keeping cold air off your hands as well as annoying road debris and sand. Also great for keeping rain off your hands if you choose to or get stuck riding in it. These sell for $220 for both sides online. more in stores. I have a Pit Bull forward-handle rear wheel stand for servicing or storage purposes. These sell for $150 online. more in stores. I also have a Ducati original front wheel stand. for servicing or storage purposes. Utilizing both stands. the bike can be lifted and held completely off the ground. Have no idea now what this would cost to replace but being Ducati brand it would be quite expensive. Some extras included but not pictured: A set of Multistrada decals for the wheels that I never got around for installing…the original windshield described above…a Nelson-Rigg motorcycle cover (which I have never used because the bike was always garaged)…some assorted accessories like chain cleaner and lube. Yoshimura exhaust polish. and probably a few others. I’m not a dealer; I am a private seller and as such am not familiar with the ins and outs of shipping a motorcycle. if that is what you need ultimately. Certainly I am willing to do my part. for instance if I need to ride the bike to a drop-off point or something like that. I’ll work with the buyer in any way I can but you will need to arrange for shipping if you are not local. The bike is in my garage in Sandy Utah. a suburb of Salt Lake City. If you are local and want to come see the bike. feel free to email and we can arrange a time. But no joy rides. if you are a serious buyer and you want to ride the bike. you will need to leave your motorcycle-endorsed license with me while you ride. and you will need to show proof of insurance. and have cash with you. Kelly Blue Book lists the value of the standard bike as $7215. This bike has installed or includes approximately $4000 worth of extras. including the Termignoni exhaust kit. 3-piece Ducati luggage kit. Zero Gravity windscreen (plus original). the Pit Bill rear stand and Ducati front stand. the Barkbusters grip guards. a Nelson-Rigg motorcycle cover. the wheel decals. and the cleaning/polishing accessories. So I think that the $8000 asking price is extremely fair. Cash of course is acceptable as well as a bank check or bank wire transfer. I don’t know if Ebay will allow me to include my phone number in the listing. but I will try. It’s 321-914-9714. Text is better. but you can leave me a voicemail too. My name is Bill.
