Quoted from Topspeed “In a series of strokes. Ducati had divided its liquid-cooled. fuel-injected. four-valve competition department from its two-valve. air-cooled street bike fans. The 900 SS was so well sorted that it changed very little until it was replaced in 1997. The 900 Super Sport remains a definitive Ducati experience. and many have been kept for lengthy periods by proud owners. The troublesome Weber carburettor was replaced with Mikuni flat slides in 1990. and after this tweak performance almost matched the fuel injected 907 IE Paso. The rake was steepened to 25 degrees. a shorter swing-arm reduced the wheelbase. and longer rear shock quickened the steering. Showa adjustable front forks replaced the Marzocchis. and bigger Brembo disc brakes were fitted. The clip-on bars were raised and the foot-pegs lowered. ” I purchased this bike about 5 years ago from a friend who was thinning his flock (needed some money). The bike is essentially STOCK with CF exhausts. It was serviced at 20k with new belts but. like I said. that was over 5 years ago. I did put new tires on it when I bought the bike and they improved the overall handling (mainly because they were round and not squared off). My heart loves everything about this bike. My 63 year old body tends to rebel after about 100 miles. It’s a great all around bike. The particular part about this bike that I have always appreciated is the fabulous one year only White frame black wheel setup this bike has. There you have it! If you have any questions. please feel free to ask and I will answer as honestly and quickly as I can.
