On May-22-15 at 13:38:05 PDT seller added the following information:VERY IMPORTANT. It has been pointed out to me that the Vin number AND engine number on the title may have errors in it. I was not aware of this I simply accepted the title and transferred it to me at the local DMV. I have investigated and I am still in touch with the previous owner. Here is what we both believe is the case: 1. The Actual Vin number here is not a 17 digit Vin but a serial number for a pre-1980 bike which is what this is - year of manufacture was 1979. That serial number was taken from the frame BUT it seems the DMV did not take the down correct number you can see from the photo of the frame the actual number is DM900SD950480 - you can see of you look closely that the number on the frame is really a 4 not a 1. Indeed when you examine the headstock plate the frame number is in fact 950480. 2. The second error is that the engine number is missing the digit 9 on the title. IMPORTANTLY the engine and frame match and this is the original bike - unmolested. The DMV can correct the paper work. HOWEVER if you want to withdraw your bids that is OK. No problem. I will then have the paperwork corrected at my end and re-list the bike. Apologies for this sloppiness I would not have noticed if I had not posted and I do trust the bona fides of the previous owner.
