'08 Ducati 1098S Superbike w/ Best Extras, Beautiful Cond

Oh my where to begin? I've owned this piece of artwork since almost new...600 miles on the odometer! Original owner had treated it right and I inherited it (well bought and paid for) with several premium upgrades. You can see the FULL Termignoni system with carbon fiber canisters and the pipes have been ceramic-coated to help moderate heat and keep the pipes looking beautiful. The Termi's came with the FULL Racing ECU and he had the system optimized on the dyno after those were installed. Also a carbon fiber heat shield for the right footpegs. The 1098S is the upgraded model and comes with Ohlins shock forks and stabilizer Marchesini wheels as well as a carbon fiber front fender. On the Ohlins I'd never ridden a bike with the Ohlins before and they were a revelation; minor road imperfections disappeared completely and you could literally tell what was happening on the street from the ride of the forks. The front brakes are likewise amazing...a one or two-finger pull will bring you from speed down to zero just like that. This version of the superbike had rave reviews for just about every aspect of the bike from linear and torque-filled power delivery to handling and brakes. It won Superbike of the Year award from magazines around the world too but you probably already know that :-)So the bike has 10879 miles on it and that's all its got. I had originally planned on keeping it permanently but realized after my last outing (a commute to work...again) that I had seriously been neglecting riding it simply because most of my riding over the last couple of years was commuting! After getting home that day I told my wife "Honey I think I'm done with superbikes (don't judge me! ;-)" As much as I love this red beauty I am willing to give him away to a new home where he'll have the best of care and give many riding miles of pleasure to the new owner.Details:Near flawless appearance beautiful red with red frame and aluminum swingarm as well as some magnesium frame and engine parts (standard Ducati build).Super powerful torque-filled engine with dry clutch; racing ECU and dyno'd (first owner said dyno'd over 160hp torque over 90ft/lbs). Original ECU included.Full Termi system with ceramic-coated exhaust pipes and carbon fiber canisters.Pit Bull stand in pictures is NOT included...sorry!Original 1098S exhaust NOT included; sold that a couple years ago in anticipation of keeping the bike...sorry again!Considering the condition of this bike and the accessories I have a totally reasonable reserve of $8200. If you check out kbb.com you'll see that a stock 1098S in excellent condition has an average retail of $10700 though I would have thought that was a tad high without some great accessories. Unfortunately no test rides will be offered; but condition and excellence is guaranteed...if you'd like to see more specific pictures or listen to the bike starting up and running I can arrange to have those pics taken or shoot a video since it's right out in my garage :-) We are just south of Nashville and can arrange to meet within 100 miles of Nashville or pick up at the airport if you'd like to take a sport ride trip home.
