Description

2008 DUCATI 1098 - LOW RESERVEYellow and all stock (will include Ducati bike cover (red), assenger pegs and original passenger seat)
I am the second owner ofthissuper bike that I purchased from the Hitching Post in Minnesota. Bike currently has 8300 miles on the odometer; however, t will continue to go up as I ride this summer.
Bike is in very good, verall condition. Only showing minor wear that any bike would over the course of seven years. There is a small crack on the right side of the fairing that is about 1 inch-long that is around the fairing screw (see pic) and is barely noticeable. Tank and the rest of the fairings are in excellent condition and have no dents or scratches. When I purchased this bike from Hitching Post, t did not come with a second key or red key. I had Ducati Minneapolis, reate a second key in the event that I lost the original. In addition, purchased an extended warranty from Xtra Ride Powersports that will be included in this sale.
The bike is in the rare yellow color and has always beenkept in a garage and stored in a heated garage during winter months. During late 2014, had the 7500 service interval and valve adjustment completed at Ducati Minneapolis. I also had new Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires installed onboth the front and the back. Tires have about 600 miles on them so far and are extremely good!
I had a Wagner-Lewis light-weight pro clutch installed on this bike back in 2013 at Ducati Minneapolis (wagnerlewis.com). This clutch is everything that it claims to be! This is a high-performance dry clutch that I had installed since the stock clutch would wear out too soon. You can slip this clutch hard from any stop light and it will shift smoothly each time. These are hand made in California and supposedly can last a very long time before any replacement parts are needed. I have rode this bike approximately 5000 miles with the clutch and it works and sounds the same as the day it was installed. See the website and video for more details on this clutch. I spoke to Leif Lewis over the phone and he assembled the clutch personally before it was shipped from Pro Italia Motorsports. This clutch is almost $2000 alone!
Other upgrades: dark tinted windscreen, ank protector, izoma (chrome) clutch cover, ellow race seat cover.
