900SS Desmo

I recently acquired this bike in a trade, o I don't know a lot about it or its history. I do know it's a nice red Italian classic that seems to run very well with just a couple minor issues. First, t doesn't always return to idle correctly. When stopping, t returns to a rather high fast idle (maybe 2500 RPM), ut if you release the clutch slightly to slow it down, t will idle properly. Second issue I know of is the clutch. It's almost like an, ON-OFF" switch, n that there is basically no friction zone and it engages almost instantly. I don't know if it's normal for these bikes, r if it can be changed. I'm sure it's something to which an experienced rider could adjust, ut I find it annoying. Lastly, t needs a new front tire. It's all but totally gone, lthough the rear tire still has some life left in it. Brakes, ights and signals all seem to work properly and the 6-speed transmission shifts smoothly.

This bike is an absolute joy to ride. The engine pulls like a freight train and, s I mentioned previously, he 6-speed shifts very nicely.The bike is located near Salem, regon and prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect it prior to bidding. It is a 20-year old used vehicle and shows signs of it's age and I see no sign of ever being down. The worst cosmetic issue, n my opinion, s a scuffed area on the left side of the tank. It is being sold As-Is, here-Is with no warranty whatsoever.
I will assist the shipper as much as I reasonably can, ut arrangements and payments are the responsibility of the buyer. Non-refundable deposit of $500, hrough PayPal, s due within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment due within 7 days of auction end. Vehicle will not leave my possession until confirmed payment is in either my account or my hot little hands.
Again, his is NOT a perfect example, ut it is a really nice daily rider. I believe the reserve is reasonable, ut please don't ask what it is.
