Description

I have three Ducati based bikes, but just one will suffice.

A NCR Bevel 900 can satisfy both my NCR and Ducati needs in one.

Hence the Ducati MikeHailwood Replica and NCR 600 TT are for sale.

Thisauction is just for my 1980 Ducati 900 Mike Hailwood Replica.
This is one of the most collectible Ducati's ever made.
This 1974 'Green Frame' 750 Super Sport is now selling in excess of$120,000.

This is avery rare opportunity fora collector or investor.

No early Hailwood's were imported into the US.
This bike is number 355 from the original series.
Do not confuse the 1979 and 1980 models with the later ones. That would be like comparing a '74 750SS to a '75 860GT.

There were approximately 6301979 and 1980made on two separate production lines.
The last known '79 model was #230, ut the first 1980 model started at #213.
The early 1979 models had a very 'homemade' look to them, ndare not as 'flashy' as the later '80 models.

The '79 models hadthree different gas tanks, two different seats, nd two distinstivly different color tones fromvarying suppliers for each production line.
The1980 model are more consistent in their production, howing a proper steel gas tank and brightpaint with bold new graphics.
This frame number is DM860SS*900355* and has the original engine number 090365 DM860.

The mileage is 19,576 Kilometers (12,083 miles).

I have many UK tax discs and MOT certificates showing it's use from new.

It was allegedly sold by Mike Hailwood by from his shop Hailwood and Gould in Birmingham, ngland tothe familyI purchased it from. It has been in my collection for over 20 years.

Recently I havere-commission it after it's long period of storage.Parts were orderedfrom Mdina Italia, ngland. (I would highly recommend them for their excellent prices and service for those interested.)

The two brake master cylinders, hree brake calipers, nd two carburetorshave been rebuilt. The center stand was slightly bent from use, ut has been straightened and powder coated with the correct color. Both inner tubesare new.The remodel performs brilliantly in test runs.
(I have only seen one other for sale recently. It is currently on e-Bay.co.uk until Dec 2nd,where itis priced at 40,000 UK Pounds ($61,000). I'm not sure how much the actor/owner adds to the worth of such a bike. The rear shocks are not standard and question several other points. Maybe $61,000 is rather ambitious currently, ut I bet it will be worth that amount infuture years. This is after all a rapidly appreciating asset.)
The following bikesare being offered seperatly and is not a part of this auction.

  • NCR 600 TT
  • Bimota KB1 series three

NCR 600 TT-

  • Made by Nepoti and Caracchi Racing 'NCR', he world famous Ducati race team around 1982.
  • One of only two 600cc road bikes ever made
  • Has hardly been used since being built, ue to the ultra strictTUV type certification rules, hatprohibited it's use in Germany
  • Condition is excellent, ith just one small blemish on the exhaust system
  • Offered at $35,000 or very near offer.

1982 Bimota KB1 series three-

  • Owned over 20 years.
  • The 1200cc engine has had over 6000 German Marks spent on upgrades
  • Has the ultra rare Bimota Racing exhaust; Dual seatalso supplied
  • Very few KB1s are in the United States.
  • Offered at $42,500 or very near offer.

If your looking forsimilar in your area, emember that a Bimota HB1 with a 1000 cc enginejust sold for around $95,000 at auction in England and another with a 750cc engine sold for around $75,000 in France.

Early Massimo Tamburini masterpieces are sure to appreciate in coming years. I own two, hen just one will suffice.

I would personally trade one or more motorbikes for a Cirrus SR20, RVor SR22 aircraft.
