1997 DUCATI 748 SP Very Good Condition, 17k miles, Carbon Kit

. A genuine 748 SP. matching frame and engine numbers (Production date 1996) confirmed by Ducati UK. one of only 7 left in country according to DVLA. Yellow & Carbon Fibre look well together. Fully prepped for use after long term storage. here's what's been done. Valve Clearances adjusted (To original Ducati tolerances. not Haynes Manual. ). several rockers replaced with good used from donor head. New Spark Plugs. Set up TPS. Throttle Body & CO balance (Idle set to 1200rpm). Compression Test. hot engine W. O. T. - Vert Cyl 148psi- Horiz Cyl 149psi. Cam Belts will be done on receipt of deposit as due on time interval (Only got about 300 miles on them. they are in good condition for test rides). Coolant. Oil. Brake Fluid replaced. New Fuel Pump. Pump Filter Screen & Fuel Filter. All Chassis Bearings Inspected & Re Greased with Silkolene RG2 Synth Water Proof Grease (Including Swing Arm Pivot). Rear Hub Stripped. Inspected. Cleaned. & Re Greased. Fork Oil Replaced. Shock was corroded. replaced with lower mileage unit. Alternator wiring completely replaced with heavier guage automotive wire (Not Spliced at cover. ). Heat shrunk then passed through anti abrasion sleeve. connectors replaced & bound in amalgam tape. Dash lights up nice and bright. battery charges at correct voltage. Reg/Rec is the later type I believe. Brake Callipers cleaned & lubed. Exhaust Cans re-packed. often neglected. Carbon Fibre- Air Box. Clutch Cover. Air Runners. Exhaust Heat Shield. Swing Arm Cover (Not hiding damage). Fr Wheel Guard & Rear Hugger. Would of cost a small fortune when new. Has correct Termignoni 50mm Half Exhaust System (Face Melting!). ECU has chip with hand written label. just says SPS. left in as the bike goes very well indeed. Also has bagged chip with printed Ducati SP label.   2 Data Tool Veto Alarm Fobs with instruction manual. 2 Original Ducati Keys. Old Mot/Sorn certificates back to 2001. Partial History. has receipts for recall work/goodwill rocker replacements. Guaranteed not a write off & Hpi Clear. supplied with years MOT & 3 Month Warranty in accordance with Sale of Goods Act.
