You are bidding on one of the rare Tri-Colore race bikes, he 851 KIT bike. Note that I had to enter a mileage and a title category, owever the mileage is unknown, s this model was delivered by the factory without a speedo nor an odometer. The bike was never registered, as no title and comes with a Bill of Sale only.

Easy recognizable identification marks for the KIT model are the braced swingarm, he instrument panel without a speedo and the most curious telltale sign of it being a Kit bike was a round ring on the seat. The story goes that the seat defect is from a hot Expresso maker that someone at the factory placed on the mold before they started production. Well, t’s an Italian bike!

Condition of the bike:

I bought this bike from a collector who had it for over 10 years in his collection of Italian bikes. During his ownership he rode it just a few times on the street. For over a year it was also exhibited in a museum. The steering head is stamped ZDM851S*850099* DGM 522740, ngine # is ZDM851W4*850109*. The front cylinder head is stamped with A. The bike has a sticker on the frame which is in German and states Type:851S, rame 850099, ax total weight: 320kg. Mileage is unknown, s there is no odometer. There is no title or registration, f you want to use the bike on the street, heck with your State if it can be registered on a Bill of Sale.

- Fully serviced in Jan 2016 at DucShop, pecialists for Ducati race bikes. Engine was fully checked out, ew belts, alves adjusted, oses replaced, ll fluid changed, rakes and clutch cylinders overhauled and new street tires mounted. The bike starts, dles and runs fine.

- The wheels and exhaust were refinished a few years ago by the previous owner.

- The color of the exhaust is a dark grey, would have preferred black.

- The rear wheel has a slight indent on the rim, ee picture

- Front and rear tires are new

- At some time the rear shock has been changed to a shock with remote reservoir.

- to accommodate this modification, he right rear fairing has a cut out, ee pictures
