2008 Ducati 1098R Superbike in excellent condition

This is #262 of 450 1098R's ever made. The limited production run was to meet World Superbike homologationrules. It has almost nothing in common with the 1098S or other 1098 powered Ducatis. You can read more about it on this motorcycle-usa article.
It is in basically new condition, as always stored indoors under a cover, nd is 100% clean.
This is NOT a motorcycle for a new or even moderately experienced rider. It makes around 186 HP, eighs about 380 lbs., nd will pull your arms out of their sockets in 1st through 4th gears. It's prodigious torque and lightweight engine components make it a handful on the street, o if you have any question about your ability to ride a world class superbike, hen you shouldn't get it. It's also relatively expensive to insure and maintain, o make sure you know what you're getting into.
The previous owner used this bike on the track and lowsided it, hich then led to an insurance claim. My friend and I bought it and replaced all of the damaged pieces with original Ducati parts that I had left over from my 1098R racebike. There is an 8mm scratch on the left side of the tank where your leg goes - it's hard to see but is included in one of the photos. That is the only flaw.

This is a collector superbike. It wouldn't work very well as a grocery getter or a long distance touring machine.
