Purchased in 1974 in California by Jody Nicolas, ormer Editor of Cycle World, echnical Editor of Motorcyclist and former AMA National #58.

During his ownership he made various modifications to the bike:

- in the 70’s he changed the wheels to Morris Mag wheels with disc brakes front and rear

- drilled some of the frame to fit rear hydraulic brake cylinder and rearranged rear sets

- later mods were comfort orientated to allow two up riding (high bars, ual seat, earrangement of instruments) and a repaint to red.

In 2010, fter sitting for a few years, he bike was sold to a friend. The new owner decided to keep the 70s mods but get it back to proper Sport looks. Keeping the original tank, he rest of the bodywork was replaced with aftermarket fiberglass pieces and all was repainted the correct color.

In 2012 I bought the bike from the 2nd Owne, ho felt he was getting to old to run the Sport.

I went through the bike to make it a reliable runner

- replaced carburetors (NOS refurbished, ike new)

- rewired most of the bike, ade a detailed wiring diagram

- fitted new coils to the Dyno electronic ignition system

- added a new stator and rotor from RoadandRace, ustralia (now charges at 15V)

- replaced regulator

- overhauled the brakes (calipers, aster cylinders)

- new rear shocks

- replaced engine seals as necessary

- replaced the old lampshell with a 3rd party lampshell and added 3rd party signals

- solid fiberglass side covers modified to Sport look (vent slits), ome made decals

Modifications from the past, ot changed

- Elliott Morris mag wheels from the 70’s with dual disc on front and single disc on the back.

- Foot peg arrangement to fit a rear brake master for the discs as well as different front master for the dual discs

- some chassis modifications to fit rear sets and rear disc brake and different seats mounted over the years

- main electrical components relocated underneath the tank, ot under seat

- non original switch gear

- fiberglass bodywork (tank is original steel), /p>

The bike has a unique history, uns strong, as a lot of eye appeal and stands out with its period modifications.
