2001 Ducati 748/996

I bought this bike in July '14 from the second owner with approximately 29K on the ticker. Shortly thereafter, t began hemorrhaging oil through both cylinder base gaskets; rather than invest time and money into fixing that, sourced a low mileage 996 engine from Moto Corse Performance and swapped that in. Since then, he bike has done several thousand street miles and a handful of track days and its performed flawlessly.
The Details:
~34K on chassis
- 120/190 Continental SportAttack 2's (~2,500 miles)
- SpeedyMoto clipon risers
- CycleCat billet rearsets
- AFAM quick-change sprocket carrier
- New DID 520 chain
~13K on engine
- New OEM clutch (steel plates & basket)
- CycleCat billet pressure plate
-Woodcraft billet clutch cover
- Timing belts were replaced and valves were adjusted to factory specs at 30K on odo.
- Six flaking rockers (4x openers & 2x closers) were replaced with rebuilt rockers from EMS
- Termi 45/50 exhaust
- 916 single injector throttle bodies
- FIM UM 222 E-Prom
Cosmetically, 'd give the bike 8.5 out of 10; the plastics are all in excellent shape, owever there are some scuffs and scrapes that one could expect from a bike of this age & mileage. The temp gauge & tachometer both have some cracks in their bezels & lenses. The title is clean, nd in my name.
