Custom 1992 Ducati 851 Cafe Racer

It's time for a new project. My 1992 851 Strada Cafe Racer is one of a kind. Originally purchased as a cosmetic basket case. The more i looked at it sans bodywork, he more i liked it. A custom subframe was made to house the Shorai battery, elays and ignition amplifiers. The wire harness has been modified and there is a new junction box with minifuses and an aircraft circuit breaker. Carbon fiber front and rear fenders, ustom billet clutch cover, adial mastercylinders, he fiberglass cafe seat came from the Eastern Europe, eat pad is the original cut down. Tank and frame have the original paint in very good condition. Rear shock has been rebuilt and valved by Lindemanns. Engine has ST4 cases and close ratio gearbox, ll work was done by Jim from Advanced Cycle in San Jose ( work was actually done at Nichols when Jim worked there) There is a new Barnett clutch with alloy basket and gold anodized pressure plate. TPO spring and bolt kit. most engine fasteners are Probolt aluminum. Engine mount bolts are Nichols. Nichols light flywheel. Belts done less than 300 miles ago. New TPS, ngine starts immediately and settles down to a smooth idle. Nichols dynoed it at 95 rwhp. there are many custom fabbed parts and brackets, echanical oil pressure gauge, idden digital volt meter, nstrument cluster with Speed hut water temp gauge and a Gps speedo. Flanders low cafe bars and LSL top clamp offer a very comfortable riding position. Much easier to ride than in stock configuration. Also, ront calipers have fresh seals, FM front brake discs. Steering damper. All internal shift linkage, arpoon etc. are new. A case saver has been installed, he reason for the ST4 cases is a chain failure. I have the original damaged cases. Oh, t has a custom 2 into 1 exhaust with a carbon fiber muffler 45mm to 50mm pipe dia. Michelin tires still have the tits and no more than 500 miles on them.This bike could very easily be put back to stock, nbsp;only the wire harness has been cut. I don't have any of the original parts.This bike would be perfect for the collector that has a perfect 851 or 888 that gets seldom ridden due to terrible ergos and increasing value. My 851 is meant to ride, avor the Desmoquattro sounds and power without a need for the chiropractor when the ride is done.The bike was invited to the Gathering at the Quail in 2015, have included a photo.I can supply more pics if interested.
