Here is our original Ducati Monster 600. in arguably the best colour. ridden by my wife and I. It is in her name on the V5. First registered new in UK on 23 03 1998. now with 9318 recorded miles. We have owned it from 2010. from around 6000 miles. It came with no real service history. the book had been lost by the previous owner but it had been owned by them from new and was known to our local main dealer - so we had it fully checked over and serviced by a them and they confirmed that the mileage appeared correct and gave it a complete service including belts. It has covered around 3200 miles since 2010. with many of those miles ridden with Thames Valley Riders on advanced motorcycle training and test. It has been well looked after. has a brand new back tyre. had a chain and sprockets recently. has just had a service and MOT which it passed with no observations. On SORN but we could tax at bidder's cost to ride away. otherwise you will need a trailer or van. It has a colour coded hugger. a carbon belly fairing. a main dealer custom made and very discrete rack on the back for a small day pack. a removable cover over the pillion seat and the small later fairing which is fitted with custom brackets retaining all the original parts. We also had the stainless exhaust pipes mirror polished. It has the original handbook. a few receipts for the services we have given it. It starts on the button first time with a little choke if it's really cold. runs and pulls as smoothly as you would expect from a low mileage bike and feels tight. There are no leaks and everything works as it should. It has not been messed about or modified. It is not perfect. there is a tiny but barely noticeable ding in the tank up by the head stock. the engine side covers have been repainted at some point and the lovely gold frame has a few minor scratches and chips. We have provided lots of high resolution photos for you to get a clear view of what is on offer. As far a condition goes it was like that when we bought it and with a very small amount of effort this could be perfect. but we have just enjoyed riding it as it is. If you need more detailed photographs of any area please let us know. It has covered less than 200 miles in the last year and with 2 young children have had to accept that we do not have the time anymore. So sadly it has to go. These great bikes are getting very hard to find in this unrestored condition. and are sure to appreciate if looked after. you are encouraged to view. It can be test ridden with appropriate insurance and deposit. please E-Mail to arrange. It can be collected from either Westbury in Wiltshire or I can deliver up to the Nottingham / Derby area around Halloween. I ask that you pay a deposit on Paypal of £100 within 48 hours. I will invoice you straight after auction end and the balance cash on collection or by bank transfer prior. We will need warning if you want us to Tax it for you at your cost. Please feel free to ask questions.
