2001 Ducati 748 BiPosto Identical in every way to the now super-collectible 916. the Ducati 748 was introduced alongside it in 1994 to ridiculous levels of press acclaim. This project was penned by the of the great team of Massimo Tamburini under chief Ducati designer. Fabio Taglioni. this being his last before his passing in 2001. The 916/748 was a true game-changer in motorcycle design. with massive success on the race track in the hands of Carl Fogarty. Troy Corser and Troy Bayliss. With marginally less power than the 916. the 748 makes good use of the 95bhp on tap. The engine's shorter piston stroke gives a higher rev ceiling of 11500 RPM. and the smaller pistons help the engine accelerate more quickly. Handling is superb. Brembo brakes are the same. and it?ˆ™s easy to see why this incredibly stylish piece of Italian motorcycling history was as successful as it was.
