2007 Ducati GT 1000 Sport Classic

2007 Ducati GT 1000 Low mile two owner bike.  I purchased this GT from the original owner who had purchased it at TT Cycles the former Metro Detroit Ducati Dealer. The bike was dead stock with less than 3. 00 miles when I purchased it about four years ago.  The original factory parts are included with this sale along with two extra keys one being the red one. The oem parts include all the original parts that were replaced. along with some extra accessories and the touring package.  This was the dealer installed option that included a windshield. luggage rack and Ducati bag that fits the rear chrome luggage rack removed along with the windshield the day I rode it home.  

The GT model was the touring version of the sport classic line up ( not this one).  I specifically picked the GT over the other classic models due to its exclusive dual swing arms and shocks.  They stay true to the intended cafe retro look. In this case you get those looks with all of the performance of a modern superbike.  If you are familiar with these bikes  then you will know they are becoming scarce.  Other classic models such as Sport 1000 and even the highly sought after Paul Smart are mono swing arms.   In my opinion the single swing arm takes away from the true retro image that these models were intended to have.

Much thought and only the best parts have been installed on this bike. This bikes accelerates. handles. nd brakes better than this add will allow me to describe.   I never planned to sell this bike. nbsp;and it is with a heavy heart that I put it up for sale. That being said. I reserve the right to end this auction if the sellers remorse dictates.   

The bike is set up for someone less than 6 ft tall and under 200 lb. and in my opinion it would be uncomfortable for large riders. If you are a medium to small frame rider this bike due to the upgrades can be adjusted in just a few minutes to fit like a hand tailored suit.  Due  to the extreme weight reduction and performance improvements the bike is blindingly fast but surprisingly well mannered.  Given the nimble nature and minimal curb weight I have thought many times it would make an excellent bike for an experienced female rider.  I have owned leader bikes and other ducatis. but none have been as fun or capable as this bike.

 The power bands are amazing and very well balanced due to the extensive set up by experienced race tech using an advanced dynamometer.   The bike has a power commander installed that was custom mapped  last winter on Ducati of Detroit?ˆ™s brand new in store dyno. Exhaust was custom made and is almost open with minimal baffling.   The stock exhaust sensor is unhooked. so the SES light does stay on. It is a simple mod to get it to go off but never bothered me so I did not address.   The exhaust is loud and not for the faint of heart. but the sound is like music if you are a true Ducati V twin enthusiast. Braking is accomplished via dual floating brembo monster gold discs up front.   This retro fit required the use of  new 2015 Ducati monster master cylinder and hand controls along with a very expensive adapter kit.

The Solo saddle Tall section is from a Ducati Sport 1000 that I had a ultra suede seat with red counter stitching installed by a local automotive interiorshop. The material is all weather so it can go in the rain.  The bikes parts list is extensive and partially listed below. but I know I probably missed some things. so please feel free to ask by calling or texting 313-919-0622.

The bike took two years to complete and I have never added up the total in labor or parts. but it is a great deal more than it will trade for if it sells during this auction.   The technicians that set up the bike have exceeded OEM specs and my expectations. I  have never tracked this bike but it was built to do track days and is more than capable.   

Power programmer with custom map by  master ducati race tech with over 20 years experience. His work is amazing. it radically took the bike to new levels that surpassed any expectation I had.
