2006 Ducati Monster S4RS

I have here for sale my Ducati Monster S4RS. A very rare machine. even more so in this striking colour scheme. This bike gets some serious attention. not for shy types. The S4RS was the run out model before Ducati changed the shape from the timeless classic Monster design. They didn't do ha;f measures with this one. it got all the best bits. Ohlins suspension all round. Brembo 4 pot brakes. singled sided swing arm. Marchesini wheels. Magura tapered bars. loads of carbon fibre and the amazing 998cc 'Testastretta' deep sump engine as found in the 998 and 999 superbike. They are slightly less power than the superbikes due to the smaller 996 throttle bodies. but they still put out 135bhp stock. which is more than enough for the road. Compared to the Monster S4 I had before this it is super smooth. effortless grunt from any revs. With a decent exhaust and ECU they will put out near to 150bhp. The bike comes fitted with an Arrow steering camper. although I do think it could do with a rebuild as it sounds a bit "squelchy". You will note the bike has a billet alloy clutch plate on show. I will also include the standard items and can fit those too if you don't like the red clutch plate. A standard cover will be sold with the bike also. although it has been scuffed (not whilst fitted to this bike). Buyer to choose their own clutch cover. I have just fitted a brand new DID X ring gold chain. it's done 100 miles since and brand new clutch plates. The brake fluid has also just been changed. I will carry out a full oil and filter change before the sale. Some service history with the bike too. I have always done my on maintenance. the bike wants for nothing. Downsides are purely cosmetic. A couple of paint chips on the frame and on the tank. I have a spare tank too which is available on seperate negotiation. The fairing has a bit of lacquer peel. I have started to flat this back and will have it re lacquered soon. The usual tiny stone chips and tyre fitting marks on the wheels. The gel seat also comes with the bike. as well as a standard seat (which has a slight tear). Bike also has a carbon fibre "tea tray" at the back. I have a Bagster tank bag I will also include with the sale. Tyres are Metzler Racetechs and need replacing. They are road legal. Yes. the bike has been used on track. the handling is unbelievable. I have got into the fast group with this bike and shocked many litre bike owners with it's pace. It's not just a pretty face. it is a fantastic bike to ride on road and track. Sadly. the bike has been placed on a Cat C. Prior to my ownership it was involved in an accident. It was hit on the left hand side by another bike. and fell onto the right hand side. the crash bung tore out and slightly flared the tube of the frame. meaning it went down as a Cat C due to a bent frame. crackers. It is not bent. it has been fully checked on a jig. and the forks have also been inspected. It has also had a tail chop in the past. which has then been welded back on. The radiator is brand new. but has S4 fans on it. I do have the RS fans but one is broken. If any of this bothers you in the slightest please don't bother wasting my time. It is what it is. a stunning bike to look at and ride. and a dirt cheap S4RS. It looks a million dollars. you feel like you've just pulled up in a Ferrari every time you park it up. No one will ever know it's on a Cat C. it doesn't affect the bike at all. Reason for sale? The track bug has bit me hard and I've bought an 1198S. the S4RS just isn't getting used so I've decided to let it go. It's a sad day for me. I adore the bike. but cannot justify having it sat there looking pretty. Ready to ride. but I can deliver at buyers expense. Private plate not included. it's on a '06 reg.
