Description

Around 2001 my friend saw one of these bikes on display at the Frankfurt Motor show and thought to himself "I have got to have one!" so after much digging around he was able to find that a company in Holland (Troll) built most of the prototypes for Ducati and this was no exception. He contacted Troll and it turns out that he was not the only one that desperately wanted one of these bikes. Troll had (with permission from Ducati) made a run of 13 frames and he was able to buy one of them. A donor (crashed) 750SS was purchased to supply a frame number and engine etc to start the build. My friend by his own admission is not much of a mechanic so the bike never really got finished and sat around in his collection for many years until i managed to prize it away from him. I started to completely rebuild the bike from the axles up along with getting John Hackett (JHP Ducati Coventry) to build me a special 944 engine as was the original concept bikeThe Engine:Bead blasted casesLight weight alloy fly wheelLight weight Ducati Performance Slipper ClutchBrand new ST2 Barrels and PistonsEvery Bearing Brand newEvery Seal and Gasket Brand newDynojet kitAnd all put together by perhaps the best Ducati engine builder in the UK and has completed around 250 miles sinceThe Chassis;Marvic WheelsOhlins rear (one off by Kais)Paioli Forks (shortened and re-valved by Kais)Loads of Carbon partsAnd obviously a completely unique frame. swing arm. bodywork. exhuast system etc etc The bike was featured in Practical Sportsbike Magazine a little while back before i had really had a chance to even finish it The bike now runs and rides a treat  making a good 80bhp at the wheel by mid revs thus giving a great feeling of torque. I planned to use the bike but its just to special to risk and deserves to be cherished in a collectionI have loads of documentation and receipts with the bike Currently has MOT but no tax (on SORN) Collection from Leamington spa or I can arrange shipping worldwide at your expense!Payment by cash or transfer
