Vintage Classic Collectable 1971 Ducati 350 Desmo Sebring motorcycle

Hi and welcome to the auction of my 1971 Ducati 350cc Desmo Sebring motorcycle.

This is a fantastic piece of history.

It has only completed 4113 genuine miles.

The bike is totally original apart from new wheel rims. This work having been completed through the legendary Mick Walker ( Ducati dealer - Wisbech)

Even has the original exhaust.

The electrics are still 6 volt.

The frame has been powder coated. as have the side boxes / panels.  

There are two parts which I do no have to complete the bike

1. The pillion passenger footrests.

2. The brake pedal spring.

The original ignition key was mislaid many years ago. My father did fashion a key which works in the original lock.

The bike. when new was destined for the American market ( Part of the Holland shipment) which never got to America due to the shipment being unpaid.

The bike has been in my family since 1973. Having been bought by my father. in Germany. He imported the bike and it was register in 1975.

It was used on a regular basis until 1978. when it went into storage.

I inherited the Duke in 1987 and it remained in storage until 2003 when it was serviced and run on several occasions. Until the time when the kickstart seized.

It went back into storage. ready for when I had the time to sort the bike out.

Sadly. not having the time or interest. I decided it was better to sell to someone who would enjoy the bike.

I can tell you that the engine is no NOT seized. I have taken the spark plug out. put the engine in gear and turned the rear wheel. The engine turns over freely.

I have started the auction at ??500. which I think is a fair starting price.

The bike is sorned and does not have a valid MOT certificate.

The bike can be viewed.

Due to size and weight I am only offering collection only. You are more than welcome to arrange your own courier. at your own expense And responsibility for packing is yours. Although I will help as much as I can.
