1992 DUCATI 851 SuperBike

This being re-listed due to previous auction winner refusing to pay. Please think before you bid. The Ducati 851 is the motorcycle that returned Ducati to racing success. All subsequent and current Ducati Superbikes trace their lineage back to this - the first Ducati with liquid cooling. four valves per cylinder and Fuel Injection. If you are reading this. you likely are familiar with these bikes. They were iconic in their day. and are still wonderfully rewarding bikes to ride. The perform very well. handle better than 95% of the bikes built today. and the Ferraci pipes and airbox roar combine to sound like nothing on the planet. 1992 was the last and best year for the 851 ?ˆ“ the solid blood-red paint. white frame with black wheels look fantastic. I bought this bike over a year ago. with the intent of never selling. I searched for about 5 months to find the right bike. I have four other Ducatis. and now have my eye on an airplane ?ˆ“ so now one or two of the bikes must be sold. CONDITION: Overall this bike is in excellent condition. I am extremely fastidious about maintenance on all my machines and keep them spotless and waxed. That said. it is a ?ˆ?rider?ˆ?. not a showroom queen. It gets ridden regularly ?ˆ“ about twice a month. and has always been kept in my garage under a cover. The bike is insured and I have the Title in my hand. The bodywork is superb - all paint is shiny but has a few nicks in various places ?ˆ“ but no scratches. Far above average for a 20 year old motorcycle.
