1965 Ducati Monza 250

This is a fully restored 1965 Ducati Monza 250.   As you can see it is a beautiful little bike.   I mainly used it as a show bike. but just don't have the desire to do that anymore.   It has won its share of trophies.   Some items just weren't able to be restored. such as fork parts and the dash lights (just cosmetic now).   I had the silencer custom fabricated in England.   The Marzocchi shocks were very mushy so I replaced them with the vintage looking shocks you see in the photos.   The odometer shows more miles but there really is no more than 1000 miles since the engine rebuild.   I didn't like the way it ran with the original Dellorto UBS 24 carburetor (shown in photos) so I replaced it with a later model Dellorto VHB and it runs really well now.   I also installed an electronic ignition (still a six volt system) and a lithium ion battery to provide the extra boost required by the electronic ignition.   It comes with an owner's manual. parts book. shop manual. and proprietary charger for the lithium ion battery.   I do have the original carburetor. specialty tools. spare peg rubbers. a rebuilt alternator from a similar bike. and miscellaneous other items related to the bike.   They are not included in price of the bike.  

If you know these bikes you know that 1965 is the last year they looked as nice as this model.   In 1966 Ducati changed the style which in my estimation totally ruined the style.   It is rare and you would be hard put to find one this nice anywhere.
