2004 Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS up for sale including panniers!

Sadly up for sale is my 2004 Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS.   I purchased the bike in April this year specifically for a trip touring southern Ireland for 9 days. This is my first ever tourer as I am a sports bike person but it won me over instantly! They handle as well as a sports bike and have a hell of a lot of grunt but they?ˆ™re actually comfortable! With no trips planned for next year unfortunately I have no reason to hold onto it. the bike needs to go to someone who will ride it.

On returning from a 9 day tour around Ireland. being a mechanic I thoroughly inspected the bike. I won?ˆ™t lie there was a lot needed doing! I could have sold it as a project but instead decided to fix it up which cost me roughly £1200 in parts! I have most of the receipts to prove this also. However this does mean that whoever purchases this bike can be assured it?ˆ™s ready to ride and all the hard work has been done. Here?ˆ™s a list of all the work that I carried out and since the bike has only done about 50 miles:

New clutch basket. plates and slave cylinder. New clutch fluid ran through.

New front and rear sprocket with chain.

All new cush drives.

New rear master cylinder.

New rear brake calliper piston seals. bleed nipple and pads.

New rear brake line and fresh fluid ran through.

Stainless Exhaust De-cat pipes fitted. looks and sounds much better! Also renewed every exhaust gasket and changed the manifold studs and nuts for new.

New front discs and pads and ran fresh fluid through.

Oil and filter change.

New air filter.

New temperature sender.

New grips.

Bike is fitted with a Ducati performance gel seat which aren?ˆ™t cheap but it tore when I was away so I re-covered it so still a gel seat just a different cover. I have pictures to prove this.

New spark plugs.

As you can see no expense was spared getting it back to A1 condition. The tyres are Pirelli Diablo rosso ii so very good tyres they have an unbelievable amount of grip! These were put on new at the start of the trip so have done a total of 1600 miles. still loads of life left in them! Bike runs great. breaks are spot on. corners excellent you won?ˆ™t now find much better for the age. The panniers are also included in the sale and these are now quite hard to come by. The only thing I haven?ˆ™t done is change the belts. They were last changed in 2012 so are due this year but that is reflected in the price. it does not need servicing I have done all that and more it literally just needs a belt change. I also have the red master key. I have been as honest as possible but this is a great bike and I will be sad to see it go.
