2006 DUCATI 749 S RED

Hi. Thanks for looking at my lovely Ducati for sale.

Firstly I shall explain the genuine reason for selling my bike. I have broken my tib and fib and despite numerous operations they will not heal. so the option to ride has gone. But this was not done riding the bike.

The bike looks stunning. and is offered in standard form other than a few modest modifications that will be listed below. I shall get the bad points out of the way first. some of the engine paint is flaking which is a common problem on these bikes. where the exhaust pipe touches the fairing there is a tiny crack under the side stand. which if I hadn't have told you about you'd never notice and there is a tiny mark behind the exhaust pipe where it has rubbed the swinging arm.  

Now the good parts. the bike looks and sounds amazing.   It has a full 57mm bore Termignoni exhaust system. these systems are very rare and cost around £2500 when new. There is a tiny mark on the pipe just below the foot rest but this has very nearly polished out. The exhaust system came with a tuned ecu but I have been using a power commander which is offered with the bike. The silencer is stamped with "for racing use only" but I've never had any problems getting a MOT. Other modifications are a R&G tail tidy. carbon fibre hugger. R&G swinging arm bobbins. R&G bar ends plus R&G fork sliders. Other than this the bike is totally unmolested and standard. nbsp;with all original parts are included in the sale.

The bike is mechanically sound with me only having to purchase a new battery. Service history detailed below-

600 mile service carried out at 641 miles.

4000 mile service carried out at 2868 miles.

8000 mile service carried out at 5980 miles.

12000 mile service carried out at 9700 miles.

16000 mile service carried out at 13134 miles with the all important belt replacement included.

The bike is the "S" model so benefits over the standard model include more power. Marchesini wheels. Brembo brakes. Showa nitrate forks. Showa adjustable rear shock. adjustable foot pegs and factory steering damper.

I have all original documentation. keys including the red key and certificates from when the bike was new. I shall get a new years MOT for the bike but it is currently untaxed. If you wish to buy the bike in standard form I'm happy to put all the original parts back on and sell the aftermarket parts separately.

The bike is pick up only. and I'm only selling within the UK. Strictly no canvassers.
