Despite being such a pretty. fun-to-ride bike. just 400 were sold in total as it was a bigger. faster ?ˆ?Enduro?ˆ™-type machine rather than a ?ˆ?scrambler?ˆ™. The 450 overhead-valve. four-stroke single featured Ducati?ˆ™s lauded desmodromic valve-gear. negating the need for valve springs and allowing higher revs. Power then went through a five-speed transmission to alloy wheels and adjustable suspension. Typically Ducati. the R/T 450 was very well engineered and extremely good looking. Our ?ˆ™71 R/T 450 was discovered a few years ago in a shed in California.
