1975 Ducati Motorcycle 860GT Cafe Racer Collectible 34500miles

I bought this 1975 Ducati as a 900SS from a gentleman in Connecticut back in 2011. however it is a 860GT as I confirmed the frame number and homologation number with Ducati Mecanica in Italy. The motorcycle is as you see on the pictures. In the last 2 weeks I had the tank and the carburetors cleaned. new pads installed/brakes bled. adjusted the clutch. and replaced the bulbs. EVERYTHING works on this bike. It is a kick start only. one of the few as they started 1975 with the GTE (electric starters). however they were burning most of the time. and they went back to kick-start only option. The gear shift is on the right side as this was one of the few before they adapt for US regulations. It does need a little of getting use but works fine and rides very well. This bike was designed by Giorgio Giugiaro who contributed with design on Alfa Romeos. Ferrari. and many other cars. The VIN on the title says 850212. the frame or engine number is DM860S-850174 with homologation DGM*13175*OM. I have downloaded a section of print outs from the book: The Ducati Bible: 860. 900 & Mille All Models 1975 to 1986 by Ian Falloon available on Google books online. if you would like to do further research. I had the bike listed under Collectibles/Transportation/Motorcycles/Ducati and eBay cancelled the listing because motorcycles above 49cc had to be on eBay Motors. so that is why I am listing here again. I have been told the exhaust and handle bar are not original and other things. You don't need to bring this to my attention!!! This is how the bike was purchased and how I am selling it.
