Gas Gas Pampera Mark 3 in blue - the final development of the ultra-light Pampera that is now sought after as a thoroughbred trail bike and for long-distance trials. Motorcycle News rates it as 'one of the great trail motorcycles of modern times'. It is extremely capable off-road and its low weight (103 kg) and seat height (860 mm) make it a lot more manageable and less intimidating than most other bikes. I have owned it for almost all its life. having bought it from its first owner in 2003. I had previously owned and loved a Pampera Mk. 1 when living in the Yorkshire Dales and used it a great deal. so I bought this one expecting to do the same after I moved south. However. pressure of work. two more relocations and a road accident have meant that I sadly used it very little and not at all in the last 6 years. so it needs a new home where it will get regular outings. It is much more refined and comfortable than the Pampera Mark 1 and a lot more sensible as a road bike. It is in original condition. with just a few small marks on its bodywork. The only modification I have done is to have the sidestand mounting lug strengthened. which was a weak point on all Pamperas. The finish as new wasn't brilliant and I have touched up the frame. which had rub marks. and some other parts. Everything works except the speedo. which is a bicycle-type trip computer that as far as I can remember never worked (a common problem). Because of this. I don't know its exact mileage. The longest ride I did on it was the full length of the Ridgeway and back and I have certainly ridden it for less than 1. 00 miles in total. The first owner rode it in a couple of long-distance trials but then sold it because of not having time to ride it any more. so I would guess that its total mileage is less than 3. 00. perhaps considerably less. I had it MOT'd most years. more in hope than expectation. but other years it stayed on SORN. I advertised it on eBay a couple of months ago but withdrew it. as it failed the MOT on the rear brake. I fitted a new disc and pads. rebuilt the caliper with new pistons and seals and fitted a new steel braided brake hose. The Pampera now has a new MOT that expires in September 2015. I have also fitted the left-hand mirror that is not shown in the photographs. Payment by cash on collection or via bank transfer please. not by Paypal. I have bee asked about the tyres. They are a Pirelli MT43 on the front (2. 75x21) and a Mitas Trials Rear Radial (4. 00x18).
