Description

GILERA FUOCO 500ieEXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY 8303 MILES. FULL STAMPED SERVICE HISTORY. LAST 50 MILES ITS HAD TWO FRONT TYRES. PERFORMANCE AIR FILER & HEATED GRIPS. STARTS. GOES AND STOPS JUST LIKE a 500cc SHOULD. M. O. T. until 23rd November 2015All the keys are present including the top box ones. All locks work. Factory fit immobiliser with keycard for getting new keys should you lose one. Last service was done at 8208 miles on the 19th Nov 2014. Bought this in November last year as something a bit different to use to work and back. Its a very nippy Scoot being a 500cc. and its as sure footed as a mountain goat due to its two front wheels.  Unfortunately being a lifelong biker. nbsp;i'm just not feeling for the two wheels up front and automatic gearboxes. Not only that but my 6'5" body is a bit cramped on it. So. I want to go back to two wheels in total and a manual gearbox in spring !The previous keeper rode this on a car licence. but it seems the rules for that have changed this year. What I dug up from DVLA was this:The basics are if you have a full Motorcycle licence (Cat A) or are over 21 years of age with a full car licence that proceeds 19/01/2013. (Cat B1 on your licence) then basically you can ride a Trike. If you do not have either of these then you need to complete a UK motorcycle C. B. T. theory test and full motorcycle test. Unless you are a disabled rider. They are the only people who are allowed to take a Trike C. B. T and Tricycle test. *** It has been brought to my attention by a prospective buyer. that his version of the Fuoco might not be able to be ridden on a Car Licence. However. the previous keeper bought it for this purpose and rode it on a car licence. It is recorded on the V5 document as a Tricycle. As I cannot confirm either way. please make your own enquiries before purchase. I will pass any relevant information off the V5 if you require it ****** More info. Local Traffic Police say that whatever is on the V5 is the classification. So it is definitely classed as a Tricycle. Other info taken from the Fuoco owners clubs states :The only requirements from DVLA to change a non-LT from bike to trike when new (NOTE from new) is to fit wheel spacers and modify the handbrake. There is no requirement to have a foot brake on an ie converted to a trike. only a ratchet handbrake. No requirement to change the indicators either. My conversion cost about ?250 extra on the price when new last year. and it is legally a trike. This bike is fitted with a ratchet handbrake. ***The bike has some scrapes on the fairing (See 1st damage pic) as the previous keeper forgot to lock the wheels when getting off. So it fell over hitting his wall. I've tried to capture the damage as best as I could. It caused no mechanical damage at all and is purely cosmetic. I replaced the front indicators with snazzy bright LED ones. as the one that hit the wall had a cracked lens. Also replaced the right brake lever which was slightly bent. There is also some slight fairing scrapes on the left side nose cone . God knows how he did that (See 2nd damage pic).  I've had a quote of ?150 - ?180 from my local bike painter to sort the marks and bring the fairings back to mint condition. but it doesn't affect the bike so I didn't bother and bought it some new tyres instead (which do affect the bike !). The bike also has a top quality battery optimate tender hard wired which will go with the bike. The Scoot has a huge underseat storage area which will take full face helmets. Tool kit is included. Add to that the top box. and you could easily carry enough stuff for a weekend away. I have given the bike to a good top to bottom application of ACF50. which if you read up on it. protects everything from the winter slime and salt. This should add up to 12 months corrosion protection. The bike will come with all the paperwork. V5 in my name. Operation manual and service book which is fully stamped up. Vehicle Tax is non transferable. but you can use my PC to tax it if you want to ride away. (Tax will still be shown on the vehicle until the DVLA receive the new keeper details - Wink. Wink)This scoot isn't really for wallflowers - Its big and brash and doesn't care. You get looked at wherever you go ! I've never owned a bike that so many people want to talk to you about. Payment can only be Cash (Prefered) or a BACS bank transfer (From your named account) - However. with a BACS payment I would need 3 days before collection to ensure the payment has cleared my account. I will NOT accept any other forms of payment so dont ask. If  you wish to purchase the bike I will hold it for you and terminate the adverts on receipt of ?50 paypal gift payment. This will NOT be returnable should you not continue with the purchase. This will be to cover re-advertising costs. Please note this bike is also advertised in other media. so I retain the right to end this eBay advert without notice.  A test ride will be fine as long as you provide and leave with me when out riding:Proof of insurance covering you to ride other peoples bikes. Photo Driving licence with suitable bike category. ?1500 cash deposit - If you crash it then the repairs will be carried out by local scooter garage. Any remaining cash left after repairs will be refunded along with a copy of the repair bill. If you can't agree or are not able to satisfy the above requirements then unfortunately no test ride. However. I can take a pillion on the back if you are brave enough !These bikes are still fetching ?4000+ if you can find one. Due to the small marks on the fairing I feel ?3500 is right on the money for this sought after and rare scoot. Please don't waste our time by offering silly money. I have stated the mileage. but as the bike is taxed and insured the mileage may go up if the weather gets a bit better. Even if I do go out on it. I won't be putting on more than about 50 miles. This is collection only - I won't organise any form of shipment - especially overseas. If you want you can. but it must be when I'm available because I work on a weird shift pattern. Just be aware. If you want to collect it with a trailer its got 2 front wheels and wont go up a standard bike ramp - As I found out when I collected it. Took an hour to bodge up a ramp to get it on the trailer !I'm being as honest about the condition as I can. As you can see by my feedback I don't mess people around.  I've got 90 happy people I've sold to over the years with not one even slightly unhappy. What you see is what you get. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Any inspection on the vehicle is welcomed. Finance & Insurance clear. but feel free to check for your peace of mind (Numberplate is shown in the photos). Being a biker myself. I wouldn't sell a bike that is dangerous or I wouldn't be happy to ride myself. Any attempt to scam or defraud will be reported immediately to the Police. Any non-payment or breach of eBay rules will be reported promptly to eBay. I'm not stupid so please don't try.  Absolutely no agencies as being told to F-off may offend.
