1975 GILERA vintage motorcycle NO RESERVE

Please also see my other listing for a 1969 sears working motorcycle. This auction is for my fathers other bike which was his project & has not been on the road for many years. It is a 1975 gilera non runner at present. My father passed away 18 months ago & shortly before he died i can remember this bike running & it was running well. I have brought it out of the garage finally yesterday & cannot get it to start. It doesnt have a battery and im not sure if it needs a battery to runI can see the spark plug is brand new & it is clear that my dad had it running as there is clear evidence on the plug that its been working. however i am unable to get a spark. but as i say not sure if its the battery. Im not majorly mechanically minded when it comes to old bikes! Also its taken me 18 months to face sorting through these so im not too keen on spending time investigating. im sure it would not take much to get it going though.  This bike has loads of spares not sure when it was last on the road but engine is definitely good . at present the headlight is missing but this may turn up when i sort through more things in the garage. It is however being listed without the headlight. as it has not turned up yet.
