This is a 1977 Shovelhead in a 1988 Frame with a 1988 clear title. it runs and handles GREAT and ALWAYS starts. No smoke or improper sounds from engine. It was reported to have been re-built not too long ago and has the 22k miles on it as when I bought it ( speedo doesn't register miles) . I have not had time to turn my attention to this fine old example of a stock Harley Davidson from the period listed. I do see that these Shovelheads are getting hard to find especially in stock condition where no one has messed with the frame and original set up. It has beautiful newer chrome forward controls and is both kick and electric start with expensive dual disc brakes in the front and disc rear. The pipes have mufflers so it is not crazy loud. It has the antique 3. 5 gal tanks and the old antique style dash. The ride is soft from the swing arm shocks plus the springs on the solo seat. It handles like a dream. probably the best handling bike I have ever had or ridden and would make an excellent ride for the smaller frame of a woman as it sits comfortably low and the center of gravity is low. It rides and handles much easier than a sportster. which is mistakenly what newer riders and women buy thinking that a sportster is smaller and would be easier to handle when in fact a sportster has a high center of gravity and is much harder to handle than this bike. There is nothing that sounds like a Shovel! Probably every Shovelhead on the road at this time has either been re-built or had any original manufacturers defects repaired.
