1942 Harley Davidson 45" Flathead Civilianized WLA Like WL

Great looking older restoration. Black paint has a few nicks and scratches. but it looks great. It was getting snowed on as I took these photos. so that's what you see on the paint. I purchased this 1942 WLA from a collector who bought it in this condition back in 1999. He rode it very little and it has not been started for over 10 years. He noted that when it was parked it was leaking oil badly at the oil pump where the mounting ear is broken off. I have a used pump to go with the bike. My plans were to get this back on the road. but as it will be awhile before I get to it. I thought I'd offer it as is. If my low reserve is not met. I'll relist with a higher reserve after I've had a chance to get it going this spring. The bike has clean 42WLA VIN and matching 45-14023 belly numbers (This is correct. All WLA's were 1942 VIN. This one was machined in 1945 per the belly numbers). There are obviously some repop parts as well as a lot of good originals.  I believe the tank is an original WLA tank. It's real clean inside and the vinyl decals were not cleared over. so they could easily be removed if you prefer to go with something different. The fenders look to be original Harley fenders as well. It has a good original CYCLERAY headlight. including lens. Speedometer looks like it may be a repop. Take a look at the photos and you be the judge. There are no horn or dimmer switches. and no tool box. All are easy to get items. This would be a  great bike for putting back on road as is. or doing a bobber. Motor kicks over and has good compression. .
