1974 AMF Vintage Sportster XLCH XLH MINT CONDITION 1 OWNER 4214 MILES

Here it is. 1974 Sportster XLH in mint condition. I see a lot of bikes for sale that start off described as all original. and are followed by "except this. his and that" - but this is ORIGINAL and a host of other items - here's what's not original on this bike: the battery. the oil and the gas (most of the air in the tires is original. as I had to add some over the years but most of the original stuff is still in there).  I have the owner's manual and the original battery. I didn't keep the oil and used up  the gasoline. The bike even comes with the factory alarm.  I will say this bike is nice and seems unreal in this condition. but is not perfect as it is 41 years old - here's what I would say are its beauty marks: the speedo has cracked from age but the gauges are not as yellow as most. there are scratches on the tank here and there - they don't show well in pics but they are there. there is a bit of acid stain on the swing arm and scratches throughout - go over the bike with a fine tooth comb and I'm sure you'll find something.  What I will say is it is the best Sportster I have ever seen. even compared to restored bikes - they are only original once and here it is. Tires are soft and not cracked. brake lights and all electrics work perfect. it is 19 degrees out today and I started it without the choke - perfect running machine.
