1931 Harley-Davidsom VL

Up for sale is a 1931 Harley-Davidson VL with matching numbers. This bike has had a complete restoration with a clear title; motor number is unaltered original stamp. The VL starts on second kick after prime and runs and sounds great. The transmission shifts smooth and rides real nice. 25 miles since rebuild. Major new parts: Gas tanks (welded). New SS spokes. tube & tires (Firestone Deluxe Champion). Head light. Cam cover. Tail light assembly. Chain guard. Handlebar twisters and grips. solo seat. and 6 volt Battery. The motor was completely & professionally rebuilt including: Crankcases have all new bearings & races. were line honed & ball burnished. The Crankshaft has all new bearings & races. then honed. trued. & balanced. The Oil Pump and Distributor have been completely rebuilt. (This is an original 1935 oil pump). Distributor is also original with all new moving parts. Primary has new primary chain and friction plates. The Transmission has new bushings and gears replaced as necessary. Cylinders and Heads are correct with fresh pistons. valves. seats & guides. A complete rebuild of the original Carburetor (M41) and Generator {6 volt}. The frame and tool box were completely stripped. repaired. primered and powder coated black. Tires are new Firestone Deluxe Champion. Wheel Hubs have been rebuilt with new bearings and felts; as well as Sprockets and Chain. Brakes have been Re-lined. Cables are new. The Handlebars. Amp meter. Dash. Ignition Switch and horn is original and has been rebuilt. The Nuts. Bolts & Fasteners are correct hardware. Oil Lines are new and Cad Plated. The paint job on this bike is absolutely gorgeous. No expense has been spared during this restoration. It runs and rides as good as it looks.
