Description

Last model year 1929 74 cubic-inch Harley JD project. with good numbers and clear Florida certificate of title. Cool VIN. 29JD9009. Speedometer/odometer is missing. but I indicated 100. 00 miles because eBay requires me to do so for a vehicle sale. Sells as is. Made in Milwaukee. Wisconsin USA. This is a true barn find. Bought this from Mike Wolfe many years ago with intentions to build a cut-down. Hate to sell it. but I bought another motorcycle and I just can't keep them all. Frame is cherry. and is powdercoated black. Engine is as found. with carb and generator. Matching engine cases with no damage or repair. Motor mounts are perfect. I'd say this bike is about 80% complete. and it is mostly missing small parts. The engine is free. and turns over smoothly. All of the internal engine components are in place except for piston rings. Intake pushrods are missing. The rear intake tower has been welded to the head for some reason. Both cylinders are 1929. Generator and timer still have original wiring. Very good. solid original fuel and oil tanks with no holes. Rear fender is pretty good. Front end is late with brake stay. missing a couple of springs and some of the brake internals. Handlebars have been cut. re-bent. and brazed. No handlebar internals or spirals. Rear wheel on the bike is from my Peashooter. and does not go in the auction. You will get the new Coker tire that is on the rear wheel. as it matches the front. The rear clincher wheel pictured with JD sprocket. brake. and speedo ring gear does go with the bike. The rear frame stand is later Harley Big Twin. and does not go in the auction. There are foot brake and rocker clutch brackets on the bike. and I will give you the option to keep these. nbsp;or the chrome set with pedals. pictured. I'm not an expert. (everyone else is). so I don't know which type of foot control is correct for this model year. This is a really solid start to a great restoration or cut-down 86 year-old motorcycle. I do have quite a bit of extra small parts for 1920's Harley's. and may be able to help buyer with additional necessary parts. This is more than worth the reserve. and probably more valuable in parts. But I hate to part out a bike that belongs assembled. My reserve price is fair. I will ship worldwide. at buyer's expense. I cannot estimate shipping to your postal code. but I will carefully disassemble and pack this in cardboard boxes for shipping to the winner. Auction winner may pick this up in person in Daytona Beach. Florida. USA (recommended). I am willing to hold this for winner through Daytona Bike Week 2015. Please pay $1000 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction's end. after I invoice you. Do not pay entire auction price via PayPal. Balance must be received by cash. check. or cashier's check within 7 days. Trust my 100% positive feedback.
