1975 Harley Davidson Shovelhead FLH Chopper

This bike is a one off show bike that I hand built in my shop in VA (The Butcher Chop). The bike was built for my entry in the Ray Price Motorsports Expo Invited Builder class. I was contacted by the show director and asked to build a bike for the invited class that would compete against some of the best builders in the business including some of the guys that had competed on the Discovery Channel Build Off show. I gave it my best shot and the shovelhead chopper in the pictures is what I come up with. The bike did take 1st place at the Expo and also received the John Green Memorial Award at this year's Easy Riders Bike Show in Charlotte NC. At the Easy Riders show I also got invited to the Easy Riders National Finals invite only show in Ohio which was this past weekend but due to the horrible weather I was unable to make it. I said all of that to say this. the bike is super nice and clean. It is also being shot in Mooresville NC on March 18th (if available) to for a cover and centerfold feature in Easyrider Magazine and photos have already been shot for a feature in Cycle Source Magazine. t's not some slung together junk that I'm trying to dump off on the internet for a prophet. Listed below are all the specifics that I could think of. I'm sure I will leave something out but please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them in a timely manor. The bike started life as a 1975 FLH Harley Davidson and it still retains the original VIN numbers as well as the original Harley titleThe original frame was properly hard tailed by the Butcher Chop in a frame jig and is super straight and very narrow to give the bike a one off lane splitter style (see pic)The engine is a fully show polished Harley shovelhead 80" with rebuilt Harley flywheels and rods. Harley cylinders (freshly bored). new Keith Black 9:5-1 pistons. new stainless steel valves. new valve seats. new bronze valve guides. new s&s high lift valve springs and keepers/caps. Andrews B grind cam. solid lifter conversion. new lifter rollers. new chrome lifter blocks. new chrome pushrod tubes. polished Harley cam cover with new cam bushing. nbsp;Jims breather. new pinion bearings. new crank shaft bearings. new S&S oil pump. polished S&S intake. New S&S carb with the triple X kit installed. split rocker boxes. custom polished stainless steel top end oil lines. new charging system. all custom stainless hardwareThe transmission is a fully show polished Harley ratchet top that is fully rebuilt with new bushings seals etc. . sprocket spacer has been custom machined with an o ring installed to eliminate the oil leaking issues. rebuilt top. new kicker gears and cover. new kicker arm. custom one off kicker pedal. New chrome repop springer (not DNA). New 21" spool wheel made in USA with polished hub and stainless spokes. New 18" dual flange wheel with polished stainless rotor and chrome sprocketRear brake is a Harley performance caliper that has been polished and is mounted to a one off stainless steel polished caliper bracket. Rear fender is made in USA Coopersmithing which is hand made and high quality. Tank is custom molded narrowed wassell tank. Oil tank is a one off custom bead rolled and handmade tank that has been chromed (see pic). Exhaust is one off polished stainless steel upsweeps that sound great. Handlebars are one off narrow 12" apes with built in risers and chromed. Mid mount foot controls are one off polished stainless steel. Master cylinder is a cycle tech sold by low brow and is very high end and compact. All hardware is polished stainless steel and all bolt heads have been custom machined and polished. Headlight bracket is one off polished stainless steel side mount (see pic). One off polished stainless steel sissybar with dual taillights. Blue pearl paint and molding by 33 Kustom Kolor. One off hand tooled leather solo seat back Jack Rabbit Leather Works that reads "tater digger" (see pic)One off custom machined BDL 1 1/2" belt drive. No expense has been spared on this bike and it is not an average shovelhead chopper. I take a lot of pride in my work and buy all US made products when possible.
