Cafe Racer Sportster XL883R Roland Sands parts,Dirt tracker, scrambler, bobber

This bike started its life as a low mileage XL 883R. which was selected for its black motor with EFI and dual front discs. Electronic fuel injection became available and standard on sportsters in 2007 and functions beautifully. The original thought was to replace the 883 cylinders with 1200 and keep the cheaper insurance of the smaller displacement. As it sits. the bike has a very classic Cafe style but could easily be modified to a Tracker or scrambler. The motor is completely stock with the exception of the bolt ons listed below. It was gone over from front to back and numerous modifications were made at great expense of time and money The most amazing mod is listed first . ridiculously expensive and ridiculously bad ass RSD fuel cap $127 PLUS Installation!!! The stock handlebars and mirrors came off and were replaced with clip ons and a Joker machine bar end mirror. The front end was lowered by installing the clip on's above the triple clamps. which also makes for a slightly more comfortable riding position. The front fender was replaced with a RSD fork brace. The speedometer and headlight mount were replaced with RSD cafe unit with LEDs. The stock air cleaner was removed and the RSD was added. (I have 3 different covers. I will provide any ONE of them) The stock exhaust was removed and a Vance and Hines blackout was added. Some boot scuffs are apparent on this in the pictures. The Nightrider ViED was added and is adjustable. The side covers were removed. painted with 3 step pearlized paint to match the stock tank. The battery was replaced with a much lighter. smaller. and more reliable lithium. The rear fender was cut. shaped and painted to match. The frame rail was cut with enough remaining to support a passenger seat. The stock tail light and blinkers were removed and shortened nightster tailights were installed. A badlands unit was incorporated to allow the lights to function as blinkers. brake and tail lights. The belt guard was removed and replaced with a custom fabricated license plate mount and belt guard with LED plate lights. The stock shocks were removed and replaced with a set of Fox adjustables. There is a scratch on one of them that does not affect the function in any way and is not very noticeable. The paint is very good overall. The tank is original and has some clearcoat swirls and minor scratches. It looks very good but I don't want the new owner to be surprised. Please feel free to inspect the bike prior to auction close if possible. I will work with you and your shipper to get the bike picked up as much as I possibly can.
