Description

Brilliant silver with blue trim. Lot's of chrome and customized for comfort and the long haul. Windshield. highway bars. mustang seat with pillion. handlebars off of a Heritage Softail. (so more pull-back and leverage). It has the whole "Live to Ride. Ride to Live" in gold and silver. including the extended arm mirrors. (Great for riding in a group). Fender pad for going solo. Kuryakyn aileron grips with wrist rest. I even have a set of air shocks that should be able to retro fitted. Brand new front tire. mold tags are still on it. Rear is good for a while yet. Screaming Eagle pipes. I don't think it has the air cleaner kit. as it all looks stock. However. she'll keep up with the some of the high performance. build engines without any problem. Sort of a wolf in sheep's clothing. I have had the "Silver Sow" since April Fool's Day of 2008. We've gone on many adventures together. and she's ready for more. Only I've come to the conclusion that I need a larger bike. One with locking hard bags. a tour pack and stereo to be exact. There really isn't anything wrong with the bike. but I want something more for the long range cruising that I have discovered that I really enjoy. She's done a mix of highway and local trips. but other than a problem with a defective oil temp dipstick. she has never leaked a drop. Replaced that part. and we're back to normal. Oil changed every 3. 00 miles. and inspections done regularly by my trusted mechanic at Hogg Brothers. It has only left me stranded once right after I bought it used. and that was for a short in the instrument cluster. Putting the new handlebars on. the short was found and corrected. I also left the ignition on once and was stranded over night because of that. but it wasn't her fault. If I could afford the trip and the time. I would ride this bike from Western Oregon to Sturgis. in a heart beat. I have that much faith in its reliability to get me there and back home without a hitch. In fact. I have even done a trip around the state. mostly solo. on this bike. and it performed flawlessly.
