Up for sale is an original one owner Limited edition 1987 1/2 Harley Electra Glide Classic with a matching Harley sidecar. The bike was purchased from Adamac's Harley in Jacksonville in April 1987. In that decade. Harley employees had bought the motor company from AMF. Each year they began producing a mid- year special limited edition Electra Glide Custom for the domestic market. The mid-year special in 1987 was designated the "Chrome Engine Special". This marked the first time that Harley put a black and chrome engine in a motorcycle. Before this. nbsp; all Harley motors were natural casting color. A total of 800 of these were released to dealers in the spring of 1987. one per dealer. There were six hundred Electra Glides (FLHT/C). and and two hundred Tour Glides (FLHT). This motorcycle is serially numbered 18 of 800. Additionally. these bikes were painted with clear coat polyurethane that Harley called "Candy Plum over Slate Grey". This is the only time Harley has used these colors on a motorcycle before or since. This bike is an original one owner cream puff with 49604 actual miles. The motor has never been worked on. The matching Harley sidecar has drum brakes operated with the bike's rear brake pedal. This rig gets a lot of attention from the citizens. You will get a lot of looks and "thumbs up" from other drivers on the road. Every time you stop. someone will come up and want to talk. Women and children love riding in the hack. This bike needs nothing. Tires. battery. oil. etc. are all recently new. The bike has the original Harley radio system w/ AM/FM. CB channel 19. and casset player with hand controls. The radio has built in AVC which automatically increases the volume as road speed increases. Extras on the bike include genuine Harley fishtail mufflers. heavy duty clutch. heavy duty drive belt. Stage I air cleaner. chrome air deflectors. chrome hand grips and controls. sidecar spot light. step. and cockpit cover. a premium "Saddleman" gel seat with adjustable rider and passenger backrests. saddlebag liners. left saddlebag auxilliary storage box. There are covers for both the bike and sidecar. There is a "tour pak" rack and a rack on the rear deck of the side car. The original Harley tool kit is included. Spare parts included in the sale are spark plugs. gasket sets. a headlamp bulb. and an "emergency" drive belt kit. Original owner's manual. Factory service manual. Factory side car manual. and a side car operator's manual are all included. This rig is in very good condition and needs nothing. Please note that this bike is no "trailer queen". It has been ridden from Florida to Mexico. Canada. Up and down the Rockies. several trips to Laconia and Sturgis. This means that there are some small road nicks and dings on the finish.
