Description

You will be bidding on a 1942 U model Flathead Bobber. I started on this project about 10 years ago with just engine cases. Engine cases and serial numbers are pristine. All internal parts are new with upgraded or reproduction parts. Flywheels are Truitt & Osborne. Rod pin. bearing rollers and inserts are S&S. Heads and complete cylinders are Flathead Power when they were in Louisiana. Oil pump is CHP upgraded with late model Sporster Gerotor gears. It actually holds oil pressure. Generator is upgraded to a small alternator that rotates outside the engine case. Electrics are 12 volt. Carburetor is Mikuni. Trans is Rev Tech. Primary drive is BDL belt drive with Pro clutch. Both inside original type diamond primary. Primary cover is spaced outward ?” to help cool belt. Front end is original type. in line springer with Flanders type risers and rigid riser bushings. Handlebars are Fat Boy. Clutch is controlled by hand and has original type clutch booster (mousetrap). Shift control is foot operated. Front wheel is 21” narrow with stainless spokes. Rear wheel is 16” with stainless spokes. Front and rear brake calipers and rotors are GMA. Gas tank is “Quick Bob” type. Petcock is Pingle. Seat is K model Sportster type on springs. Rear fender is original type with back section shaved and rounded above hinge area. Tool box is original type. Frame is reproduction with black powder-coating. I put several 1942 coins on the bike in various places mostly to stop up unused holes. Paint color is 1955 Cadillac Ruskin Blue with hand pinstriping. I have over $22000 in invoices and am missing some major ones. This includes no labor since I did it all. Pictures include some documenting the build. I have no title on the bike since Georgia didn’t start issuing titles until much later then 1942. I have had no problem in Georgia getting a tag with the bill of sale. I have put 2200 miles on it.
