1947 Harley-Davidson FL Knucklehead

Up for auction is a really nice 1947 FL Knucklehead. Runs great. shifts through gears well. and stops great. This bike is a really nice bike. It has a few small cosmetic imperfections (scratches) but all sheet metal is perfect. no dents or dings. nothing major at all. THis 47 has matching belly numbers & . 30 oversize cylinders. No broken fins or welds - perfect heads. Really nice cases. cam cover. oil pump. etc. It has an original uncut bullneck frame with all tabs and casting #s. Original '47 only tanks with '47 only original speedometer and dash. switch. glass lens. floorboards. M-35 Linkert. It has great original offset front end. handlebars. Monroe shock. & a CycleRay headlight that was re-chromed. The original tail-light has been re-chromed also. Wheels & tires are excellent. as you can see. The bike has nice dual exhaust with Flash Gordon Mufflers. The horn. headlight. running lite. tailight. dash lite. & brake light all work fine with a rebuilt Original brass tag 32e generator and Delco relay. The frame has been repaired where seat post tube and rear motor mount meet. but it has been that way for many many years. The horn is a new Delco repop and the rear fender is repop. The speedometer does not work but it does rebound and can easily be fixed by speedometer repair experts. I also have OEM floorboards (not shown in pictures) & a fender tip. they will come with the bike. This is an original 1947 Knucklehead; not a put together parts bike! Just get on it & go! It is road-worthy. I have too many toys and am cleaning out the garage for various reasons; the sale is unrelated to the bike itself…the bike is great. Now for the fun stuff:NO TRADES.
