1948 Harley Panhead survivor vintage chopper knucklehead frame restoration

1948 Panhead motorcycle up for sale. It has been sitting in a storage shed for an unknown amount of years. I put a good used battery in it. a rubber ducky type float in the carb. some fresh gas & oil in it and got it running. Rode it around the yard a bit after checking for oil return. Had to hot wire it because the switches that are there weren't working. It will need to be rewired. tuned up and gone through to be road worthy. It starts up really easy. usually first kick after a couple primes. the motor sounds good and the exhaust isn't smokey. The front intake pushrod tube cork is bad and is leaking. This 1948 frame is almost uncut. the rear tank mounts were trimmed for the sportster tank (unfortunately) and half of the tool box mount was cut off. there are two frame repairs that I can see. one at the front motor mount on the left side. The other is at the lower part of the seat post tube. I've tried to show both spots in the photos. I did not take the bike apart to inspect the frame and all of this description is to the best of my knowledge. Sold in "as is" condition. this bike is 67 years old.
