2005 HD XL1200C

For sale. a 2005 1200 Sportster. The bike is mechanically solid and runs very well. This is a carbed bike and with the pipes as they are. is not quiet. Aesthetically she's mildly rough looking. I have priced the bike accordingly. so that the purchaser can put whatever they want into making her shine and still be well under market value. Current mileage is 28. xx. As for the "bad". Spoked front wheel has obvious surface rust. Pipe has rust and is scraped on underneath (scraped from riding. not from any mishap. I ride it. ) Footpegs are worn down on underneath (again from riding). Various bolts and areas rusted. Bend in the front brake lever and front grip torn up. (This IS from a low speed drop. that occurred when I allowed another rider to try the bike. learned my lesson there. ) Rust on the rear springs. which are original and should probably be replaced to improve damping. That is the worst of it. The "good". New tires. less than a year old with well over 80% tread life. New rear master cylinder. replaced due to common failure with age. New front Brake pads May '14. Less than a year old brake fluid front and rear. The price is fair given that the "fixes" are not terribly expensive. I am selling it as is. But. I reiterate. the bike runs very strong. she just needs TLC to be pretty again. The selling price and the amount someone chooses to put into it will still be under market value when finished.
