1949 Harley Panhead

It is registered as 1949 Harley 49FLxxxxP. S&S balanced bottom end. nbsp;and cases ( original cases were broken beyond repair). Heads have unleaded seats with shovel valves. Original tanks. rear fender. Original uncut mint frame. The paint is oem Peacock Blue. faded and rubbed through in places. It's not a show bike. it's a good driver with the possibility of a show bike with a little TLC. The V. I. N. has a "P" at the end which makes it a springer front end bike. This makes it a very rare bike for '49. They made less than 200 with springers. I was told the bike originally had a side car and springer. but was traded for a "hydra-glide" front end years ago. It has the original speedometer. correct '49 FL carburetor. oem "sargent stripes". There is no horn. as it was a springer front end. the frame doesn't have the spots on the frame for the horn. It does have a 12 volt Cycle Electric generator. Both seats buddy and solo come with the bike. I've owned the bike for 17 years. I'm 66 years old with two bad hips and a bad right knee.
