Pristine Recent restoration on this 74 cubic inch FL Last year Knucklehead. The engine was recently and carefully rebuilt top to bottom. using all original used and NOS parts. Harely Davidson Big Port heads and correct 5 fin cylinders make up the top end. while genuine H-D 74" flywheels. original rods. shafts. cam and gears make up the bottom end. The cases are factory matched with unmolested PERFECT factory serial numbers. (These cases are some of the nicest 47 cases I have seen) The carb is an original rebuilt Linkert M-35 and fires on the first kick after priming EVERY TIME! The electrics are all fresh 6 volt components including the correct and Professionally restored Dale Cashman 32EGenerator. Transmission is a stock standard 4 speed with hand shift lid. The trans consists of all original components. from the mainshaft to all of the gears. All gaskets and seals have been replaced with upgraded aftermarket James Gaskets. The Frame is an early aftermarket OEM style for a smooth and SAFE. comfortable ride. The front end is an OEM Harley Davidson inline Springer fork to keep it period correct equipped with an original style ride control. and Cycle Ray type 6 volt springer headlight. The machine sits on a pair of tall 18" original Harley rims wrapped with Coker Goodyear diamond tread tires laced to original Harley Davidson star hubs with stainless spokes from Buchanan's spoke and rim. (There is NOTHING that compares to rolling down the road on a pair of 18's. which seem to give a little more control and maneuverability to the ride). The 18" rim was a factory option through 1947 and also lends to the bike's overall stance and appearance. The brakes are original Harley equipment-mechanical front and rear. as well as the linkage and hardware. The bike features and early style 36-39 Harley front brake lever and the foot controls are also genuine H-D. The left side features an original style heel toe rocker clutch setup. The sheet metal consists of early aftermarket fenders and original Harley gas tanks. The front fender is a hand made bobbed two piece fender with factory styled trim. The paint was laid down by John Dills at Dills paint works and feature original flight red paint with custom black scallops. Original H-D chrome handlebars with internal controls were used and a 47 style chromed dash and speedo were used. Chuck at the saddle shop supplied the seat with new custom leather. The bike was just fully professionally serviced and needs nothing. It is ready for your summer adventures! This is a rare opportunity to own a 1947 knucklehead that was restored to ride not sit. The bike runs and shifts smoothly and has that "broken in" feel to it. It is very unique and comfortable to ride. but be prepared to get stopped wherever you go. this bike turns a lot of heads!!!!. The bike comes with a bill of sale from Cyclemos Motorcycle museum in Red Boiling Springs. Tennessee. For more information feel free to text or call 615-670-8942 for more information. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any point. Serious bidders only please! No international sales. buyer must coordinate pick up of the motorcycle.
