Description

This is your chance to own a one of a kind piece of rideable art at NO RESERVE!! High bidder will be the proud new owner! I have owned this bike since 2003. I purchased it from the Howard Russek Gallery when it was at the Aladdin Casino in Las Vegas. The bike was in a showcase in a restaurant that I owned from 2003-2005 and then was moved to my garage and has been kept in storage since. The bike has only 317 road miles on it (may change a few miles while for sale but won't be more than 325 as I don't let just anyone ride this bike) The bike has been taken in every year to a dealer and has had fluids checked and changed as needed along with normal maintenance. The bike starts and runs perfectly. The only thing that has not been replaced on the bike are the tires. They are fine if the bike is going to be showcased. but in the event that you want to ride the bike. I would highly recommend that new tires be put on. A little history on the bike --J. P. Poland became well-known in the field of transformation by manufacturing a Harley Davidson called "El Tigre". which was the product of an encounter with Dan Meyer. a styling specialist and one of the designers of the Absolute vodka bottle. Dan Meyer understood the requirements of creating a design which will appeal to a large audience. and thus. beyond castings reinforced by the addition of metal in certain points of the mudguards. he suggested tiger striped paintwork. It was VERY successful. After being displayed in the window of a cafe in Florida. El Tigre appeared on the Regis and Kathie Lee show. after which it was invited to the Harley-Davidson Cafe inauguration in New York City. As a result of the success of the first El Tigre. the Cafe ordered a similar machine on a Sportster base. J. P. decided to undertake a new project. which would be based on the same principal but would focus on another theme. He and Dan Meyer purchased a new FLHTC and started transforming it into a dragon. J. P. was a longtime rider and every time that he fired up his bikes. his three year old daughter grew wide-eyed and trembly. Since he didn't want his daughter to develop a serious case of motophobia. he decided to transform a bike into his daughters favorite beast. As they had more time now. they were even more painstaking and built a motorcycle. trimmed and decorated in every detail according to the dragon theme. The bike was fitted out with polyester and resin and the casting. assembly. and molding work. as well as the aluminum parts. were by J. P. and Dan. who also carried out the tapping and setup. with a final result of spectacular aesthetic effect. This bike has been shipped around the world and won numerous awards including best in show at Daytona Bike Week. Bike week at Sturgis (trophy included) and Bike week in Germany. The bike has been featured in the Harley Davidson Coffee Table edition and many magazines across the world (which are included with the sale of the bike).
